DESCRIPTION: The Cassandra Crossing is a 1976 British motion picture
starring Richard Harris, Ava Gardner, Sophia Loren, Martin Sheen, Burt
 Lancaster, Lee Strasberg and O. J. Simpson.

SYNOPSIS: When a plague-infected terrorist, fleeing from the police,
exposes the 1,000 riders of the Geneva to Stockholm Express, Colonel
MacKenzie (Burt Lancaster) is called in to handle the situation. He locates
a doctor aboard the train, Jonathan Chamberlain (Richard Harris) who, with
 his wife (Sophia Loren), finds the fugitive. They attempt to transfer him to
 a hovering helicopter, but fail, and the terrorist dies. To prevent the spread
of the plague, Colonel MacKenzie directs the train to the Cassandra
Crossing where it will plunge into oblivion, killing all aboard. At Nuremberg,
the train is pumped with oxygen and the stricken passengers begin to recover.
Dr. Chamberlain argues that they can be spared, but Colonel MacKenzie refuses,
and as the train rushes toward the collapsing Cassandra Crossing bridge, Chamberlain
struggles to disconnect the cars and save the passengers from their appointment with doom.

PLOT DEscriptION
A young woman who\'s formed her
sexual identity around anonymous
one-night-stands considers the
option of a committed, monogamous
relationship in this erotic psychological
drama. Introduced in voiceover, the
twentysomething Leila (Lauren Lee Smith)
makes clear her preferences for picking
up guys based on mutual, animal attraction,
as well as her desire to exhibit power
over men. But when she locks eyes with the
tall, dark, and handsome David (Eric Balfour),
her priorities begin to change, and she
finds herself wanting more from a man
than just hot sex. Each partner has his
or her own baggage -- David is taking
care of an ailing father, while Leila
is caught in the middle of her parents\'
messy separation. Already familiar with
the concept of sexual liberation, Leila
finds she has to be emotionally vulnerable
as well if she wants to hang on to David.
